Book open access & licensing policy

This policy applies to all scholarly books published by Bliss Global under the Global Confluence Review (GCR) imprint.

Open access

All books are published open access. The full text is free to read and download from this website immediately on publication, with no embargo, no fee for readers, and no registration or login.

Licence

Books are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Anyone may share and adapt the book, including for commercial purposes, provided they give appropriate credit, link to the licence and indicate if changes were made.

Where an author or funder requires it, another Creative Commons licence (for example CC BY-NC 4.0 or CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) may be agreed in writing before publication. Every book is published under a Creative Commons licence; “All rights reserved” is not used.

Copyright

• Authors (or editors, for edited volumes) keep the copyright in their work.
• Authors grant Bliss Global a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute and archive the book under the agreed Creative Commons licence. The publishing agreement never contradicts the licence or this open access policy.
• Third-party material (for example figures or images) may be under its own terms; this is stated next to the material. Authors must obtain any permissions needed.

Where the licence is shown

The licence and copyright statement appear:

• on the book's copyright page (colophon), with a link to the licence;
• on the book's page on this website, together with the title, author(s) or editor(s), date of publication, ISBN, licence, copyright statement and the free download;
• in the book's metadata.

Identifiers and sharing

• Every book receives its own ISBN before publication.
• A DOI is shown only once one has been registered for the book.
• Authors may deposit the published book in institutional, subject or other repositories and share it on personal websites, with a full citation and a link to the book's page on this website (see the repository policy).
